Barrie Suzanne Zweier, DDS
Dr. Barrie Zweier opened Logan Family Dental in 2013, providing personalized, professional care to Logan and surrounding communities. With nearly four decades of experience, her passion lies in comprehensive dentistry, offering services such as general and cosmetic dentistry, clear aligner orthodontics, and dental implants. Dr. Zweier approaches dentistry as an art and science, tailoring treatment plans to rebuild smiles and improve patients’ dental health.
A graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, Dr. Zweier is committed to lifelong learning, earning certifications in advanced areas like root canals, veneers, implants, and digital dentistry. She leverages cutting-edge technology, including 3D imaging and Cone Beam CT, to provide accurate diagnoses, treat periodontal disease, and even help identify sleep apnea. Her compassionate care focuses on reducing pain, addressing fears, and improving the overall quality of life for her patients.
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Zweier enjoys outdoor walks, traveling, healthy cooking, and playing piano. Married to Dr. Jay Zweier, a cardiology professor at Ohio State University, she cherishes time with her three children and grandson.Jerry Detwiler, DDS
Dr. Jerry Detwiler specializes in family and general dentistry with over 40 years of experience serving the Lancaster and Logan areas. Dr. Detwiler enjoys working with children, implant dentistry and doing crown and bridge restorative procedures. Dr. Detwiler is a graduate alumnus of The Ohio State University School of Dentistry.
Sarah – Office Manager
Sarah has been with our team since 2013. She has been in the dental field since 1997. She is happy to answer your questions, plan appointments, help resolve any concerns you may have, and make your visits positive. Sarah has been married for 21 years and has three children. She enjoys watching her children play sports, traveling, hiking, and spending time with her friends and family.
Heather – Business Assistant
Heather graduated from a medical assistant school and has been with our office since 2014. She is very welcoming and greets our patients with a smile. Always willing to answer any questions you may have regarding your dental coverage. Heather is married and has four children, one cat, and two dogs. She enjoys traveling the world with her family.
Lindsay M. – Certified Dental Assistant / Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary
Lindsay has been in the dental field for 10+ years. She holds a Certification in Dental Assisting, Radiology, Coronal Polishing, Sealants, CPR and Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary. As an EFDA, Lindsay’s primary role in the office is placing fillings. She takes pride in making her patients feel at ease in the dental chair while placing quality restorations.
Lindsay has been married since 2014 and has three wonderful children. She loves attending their sporting eventsMary – Front Desk Scheduler, Treatment Coordinator, and Dental Assistant
Mary is one of our incredible dental assistants at Logan Family Dental. She helps our patients feel right at home and tries to make sure that every patient gets the best care possible. She graduated from Logan High School and got her dental assisting degree in Cambridge. She has been a dental assistant for over 10 years. She is a proud wife and mom of 3 children. She loves Christmas and all things winter.
Lindsay – Dental Hygienist, RDH
Lindsay graduated Cum Laude from Columbus State Community College in 2014 with an Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. She was a recipient of Proctor and Gamble’s Preventive Dentistry Award for her commitment to patient education. She enjoys hiking, gardening, painting and singing, but most of all spending time with her two dogs and her husband.
Danielle – Expanded Function Dental Assistant
Danielle has been in dentistry for seven years. She holds certifications in Coronal Polishing, Sealant Placement and Expanded-Function Dental Assisting. She specializes in restoration placement and is great at educating patients about dental health. She enjoys hiking, fishing and horseback riding.
Lexie – Dental Assistant
Lexie joined our team in 2022. She graduated from Logan High School. She received her dental assisting certification from First Impressions Dental Assisting School. She has 2 cats and loves spending time with her family. She also enjoys swimming, hiking and kayaking.
Makayla – Dental Hygienist
Makayla is one of our dental hygienists. She graduated from Logan High School and then received her Associate's degree in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene at Hocking College in 2023. She enjoys spending time
with her family and friends and helping on her family farm by raising show pigs! She loves to read books! Makayla joined our Logan Family Dental staff in January 2024; she is awesome! We are lucky to
have her as part of our dental team!
